Viking Award Winners

“In Recognition for Excellence as a Dedicated Athlete and Student”

The Viking Award was created in 1965 by Lakeside coaches, booster clubs, and interested parents to recognize an athlete in each sport who exemplified the highest standards of the Lakeside community. The criteria for selection are skills in the sport, academic excellence, and school community activities. The player selected is popular with and respected by all the coaches, teachers, and students, as well as his or her teammates. The recipient of the Viking Award is considered to be truly representative of the highest qualities of a Lakeside student and athlete.
